Temptingly tropical Peacocks - 2 versions of the same card

Good Afternoon all

Today I have 2 versions of the same card to show you.

I love the temptingly tropical stamps and in particular the Peacock, the first version is using Aqua tints painted on in wiggly stripes and sprayed with a little water to blend.  I dried off the ink and used an anti static bag and stamped on the peacock feathers and coloured in the eye detail with pure aqua tint colour to make it pop.  I cut the card down to 7" square and stamped the peacock head and the sentiment on the spare card and used a white pen to highlight the eye area and more pure aquatint on the head and body. I added the Peacock head and the sentiment to the card and mounted it onto some teal Centura pearl card and onto a white 8x8 card blank.

The second version is using the Tim Holtz Distress oxide inks, I luuuuuuurve these very much!
They give a lovely creamy chalky texture

I used a sponge to add the colour to a A4 piece of Sheena Stamping card and sprayed with water to blend a little more and dried off.  I used my anti static bag and stamped and embossed the peacock feathers in black and coloured in the eyes.  I did sponge on a little more which took off some of the embossing powder but I liked the distressed look it gave and where it has gone a little pale I used a pen to ink in the line. The card was cut down to 7" square.  The peacock head and sentiment was stamped onto spare card and the oxide inks used to enhance the colours.  I mounted it on black card and added 2 layers of ribbon before adding the sentiment and head, before adding to an 8" card blank.

Thank you so much for visiting my little blog and I hope I have given you some inspiration to play with all your stamps and inks, until the next time xx
